15 Jun The Useless
“Your whole teaching focuses on useless,” said Hui Tzu said to Chuang Tzu.
The Chuang Tzu replied: “If you do not appreciate the useless, you cannot talk about what the useful is. The land, for instance, is wide and endless, of all this area a person uses only a few centimeters, those centimeters that he stands on them. Let’s suppose that all the rest that he does not use suddensly disappears so that the abyss emerges around and he is standing on the gap and the only solid thing is the ground on which he stands How will he be using it? ”
“It will stop to be useful,” replied Hui Tzu.
“This shows how necessary it is ultimately the useless,” concluded Chuang Tzu.
