A strong desire for freedom usu<\/span>ally begins in adolescence. All kids, at\u00a0<\/span><\/span>some time or another, begin to feel\u00a0<\/span><\/span>constrained and a little persecuted.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Parents try to shape and protect their\u00a0<\/span><\/span>children, but kids reach a point when\u00a0<\/span><\/span>they resent them for it. They rebel,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>even if it means hurting themselves in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the process. Society gets involved, but\u00a0<\/span><\/span>kids lose patience with its rules. Gov<\/span>ernments and religious institutions\u00a0<\/span><\/span>want to lead them in one direction or\u00a0<\/span><\/span>another. Breaking free of it all sounds\u00a0<\/span><\/span>appealing, but most people want free<\/span>dom to be given to them. That won\u2019t\u00a0<\/span><\/span>happen. The freedom that really counts is the freedom we grant ours<\/span><\/span>elves.<\/p>\n

Tyranny starts with us and with\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

that little government in our heads.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who makes the rules? Who enforces\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

them? Who can rewrite those rules?\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The president can\u2014the aware execu<\/span><\/span>tive we want to be. We can each repeal our own laws and reform our own<\/p>\n

personal justice system. We can break\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

out of jail free anytime.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As you\u2019ve probably figured out by\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

now, me can become a better decision\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

maker. Me can be a better adminis<\/span><\/span>trator\u2014or me can step aside and be-<\/p>\n

come a friend. If the desire is there, me can be a diplomat and a peace-\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

maker. Me can ultimately be the savior\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
