Alone we walked as if betrothed,
\nLost in the green night of the fields;
\nWe shared this fruit of fairy reels,
\nThe moon, to madmen well disposed.<\/p>\n

And then, we were dead upon the moss,
\nFar, quite alone, among the soft
\nShades of this intimate, murmuring wood;<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And there, in the vast light aloft,
\nWe found ourselves with many a tear,
\nO my companion of silence dear!<\/p>\n
