Bend and you will be whole.
\nCurl and you will be straight.
\nKeep empty and you will be filled.
\nGrow old and you will be renewed.<\/p>\n
Have little and you will gain.
\nHave much and you will be confused.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the Sage embraces the One,
\nAnd becomes a Pattern to all under Heaven.
\nHe does not make a show of himself,
\nHence he shines;
\nDoes not justify himself,
\nHence he becomes known;
\nDoes not boast of his ability,
\nHence he gets his credit;
\nDoes not brandish his success,
\nHence he endures;
\nDoes not compete with anyone,
\nHence no one can compete with him.
\nIndeed, the ancient saying: \u201cBend and you will remain whole\u201d is no idle word.
\nNay, if you have really attained wholeness, everything will flock to you.<\/p>\n
