He who becomes the slave of habit,
\nwho follows the same routes every day,
\nwho never changes pace,
\nwho does not risk and change the color of his clothes,
\nwho does not speak and does not experience,
\ndies slowly.<\/p>\n
He or she who shuns passion,
\nwho prefers black on white,
\ndotting ones “it\u2019s” rather than a bundle of emotions, the kind that make your eyes glimmer,
\nthat turn a yawn into a smile,
\nthat make the heart pound in the face of mistakes and feelings,
\ndies slowly.<\/p>\n
He or she who does not turn things topsy-turvy,
\nwho is unhappy at work,
\nwho does not risk certainty for uncertainty,
\nto thus follow a dream,
\nthose who do not forego sound advice at least once in their lives,
\ndie slowly.<\/p>\n
He who does not travel, who does not read,
\nwho does not listen to music,
\nwho does not find grace in himself,
\nshe who does not find grace in herself,
\ndies slowly.<\/p>\n
He who slowly destroys his own self-esteem,
\nwho does not allow himself to be helped,
\nwho spends days on end complaining about his own bad luck, about the rain that never stops,
\ndies slowly.<\/p>\n
He or she who abandon a project before starting it, who fail to ask questions on subjects he doesn’t know, he or she who don’t reply when they are asked something they do know,
\ndie slowly.<\/p>\n
Let’s try and avoid death in small doses,
\nreminding oneself that being alive requires an effort far greater than the simple fact of breathing.<\/p>\n
Only a burning patience will lead
\nto the attainment of a splendid happiness.<\/p>\n
