We are the hollow men<\/span><\/span>
\nWe are the stuffed men<\/span><\/span>
\nLeaning together<\/span><\/span>
\nHeadpiece filled with straw. Alas!<\/span><\/span>
\nOur dried voices, when<\/span><\/span>
\nWe whisper together<\/span><\/span>
\nAre quiet and meaningless<\/span><\/span>
\nAs wind in dry grass<\/span><\/span>
\nOr rats’ feet over broken glass<\/span><\/span>
\nIn our dry cellar<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Shape without form, shade without colour,<\/span><\/span>
\nParalysed force, gesture without motion;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Those who have crossed<\/span><\/span>
\nWith direct eyes, to death’s other Kingdom<\/span><\/span>
\nRemember us\u2014if at all\u2014not as lost<\/span><\/span>
\nViolent souls, but only<\/span><\/span>
\nAs the hollow men<\/span><\/span>
\nThe stuffed men.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
