And in the same town there lived an utter fool, an idiot. One day the idiot approached the intelligent man and asked to be shown some way of becoming intelligent. The intelligent man asked the idiot whether he wanted to be intelligent or appear to be intelligent, because to become intelligent was a long process, but to look intelligent was easy. The idiot replied that he wanted to be shown the easier way \u2013 that if it was enough if he looked <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">intelligent.He<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> did not want to bother about becoming intelligent.The intelligent man commented that in becoming intelligent there was a possibility to make <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">mistakes,<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> but in looking intelligent there could be no mistake.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> The idiot then became impatient and requested that the trick be revealed without any delay. The<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">n the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">intelligent man told the fool to immediately negate every statement he heard.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">If somebody says \u201cthere is God\u201d, he should immediately reply that \u00a0&#8220;there is no God&#8221;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> The fool man asked the intelligent<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> : <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u201c<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Should I say such things even when I don\u2019t know anything about the subject?\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> The intelligent replied: \u201c<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">You don\u2019t have to bother about knowing anything at all. If somebody tells you that <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">an artist paints wonderful paintings,<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> just say it is all rubbish! Tell them to prove that they are <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">wonderful<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">! If anyone says that <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">somebody<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u2019s music is heavenly, say that even in hell such music is played <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ask the person to prove what heavenly music is like. Just deny everything, and if anyone opposes you, challenge them to prove their claim.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> From that day the fool man started to become famous throughout the town for his intelligence.And everybody was wondering how he had achieved it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> This century is, in a way, a century of many types of fools. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">And the foundation of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">the<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> foolishness is negation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\"><em><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Hidden Mysteries<\/b><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\"><em><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>OSHO<\/b><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Turgenev has written a short story&#8230;.
